California’s immigrant youth organizers have been unafraid to shift, adapt and mold when we see a different strategy is needed. This fearless attitude towards change has allowed immigrant youth to develop unique horizontal campaign strategies.
In the same spirit, as we were getting closer to next week’s CIYJA’s First Annual Fundraiser Celebration, an incredible possible addition to our gala came to our attention. However, this addition could only happen if we postponed the fundraiser to late April.

Believe us when we say that it was tough for us to keep our excitement confidential as we were planning and having these discussions, and we are happy that we no longer have to contain the excitement.

After making a few rearrangements we are very pleased to announce that a very special acoustic set by Chilean MC Ana Tijoux will kick off the evening's celebration! Therefore, CIYJA’s Fundraiser Gala will be on Saturday April 23, 2016. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to celebrating with you!
